League Information
As many of our members are aware, in order to further our firearms training as Law Enforcement Officers, the NCPCPL had adopted the NRA Tactical Police Competition format for the 2011 Season. In order to simplify these matches, all shooters will compete under the TPC's standards for the Patrol or Tactical Division depending on the shooter’s preference.
The North Carolina Police Combat Pistol League allows civilians to compete in the TPC match - however, these competitors will be placed in the civilian category. Law Enforcement competitors will be shooting in the Patrol Division. As such, they will be competing under the NRA TPC Patrol Division standards. If these competitors’ firearms do not meet the Patrol Division Standards, they may borrow weapons that do, or they may compete in the Civilian category.
All competitiors' equipment must also adhere to the NRA TPC standards. Please take a moment and review these standards HERE. (Please refer to pages 12-15 of the pdf file.)
Match & Membership Fees:
Membership in the league is open to all shooters, civilian and law enforcement alike. Dues are $25.00 per year.
TPC Matches are $20.00 for members and $25.00 for non-members.
Weapon Requirements:
The PPC Rifle and Shotgun matches may be shot with the shooter’s choice of law enforcement style rifle and shotgun utilizing open or iron sights. TPC Matches must be shot under the standards for the Patrol Division or Tactical Division depending on the shooter’s preference (see TPC Rules & Standards for further details).
